Italian Burger
There's something magical about combining the comfort of a juicy burger with the bold, savory flavors of Italy. These Italian Burgers are packed with seasoned beef, topped with melty fontina, and finished with some sassy sauce. Perfect for summer grilling or when you want to level up burger night. This recipe brings serious flavor with minimal fuss.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground sirloin
- 1½ tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp kosher salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 8–12 slices fontina cheese
- 4–6 burger buns or Italian rolls
- 1 cup The Curvy Italian Sassy Sauce
- 1 cup fresh arugula
Instructions
- Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
- In a large bowl, gently combine ground sirloin, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 large patties (or 6 smaller).
- Grill 3–4 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- During the last minute of cooking, top each patty with fontina and close lid to melt.
- Assemble burgers: add burger patty, spoon 1–2 tbsp sassy sauce on top, then add fresh arugula if desired. Finish with top bun and serve immediately.
